This is a rackmount network appliance with SFP uplink and Intel E3845 quad-core CPU that lives up to the hype—quiet, compact, handles firewall + routing + logging. My only minor complaint: the outer box was a little dented on arrival. Fortunately the unit was fine.

Hardware is fantastic: the S2 case is rugged, the E3845 chip gives real power, the “high-performance firewall appliance with 1 SFP port” is living up to its claim. My only issue: shipping to the UK took nearly 10 days instead of 4–5. Still happy with the product, hence 4 stars.

The “rack mount firewall appliance with Intel E3845 and modular S2 chassis” fits perfectly in our 1U rack, makes full use of our SFP uplink for high-speed fibre, and handles multiple VLANs and heavy logging with ease. Very pleased.
