I’ve had it running for three weeks now with heavy use (traffic, VPN, logging). Everything remains stable. The LEDs are crisp, the UI is responsive, performance is strong. No surprises so far.
Thank you so much for this steady‑state review! It’s great to hear it’s holding up under sustained load. If at any point you’d like help setting up alerts, log forwarding, or capacity planning, we’re ready to assist.
The RackMatrix S2 ready-to-use with Noah2 Intel E3845 is a fantastic device — stable, capable, intuitive. But because I’m in a remote region, shipping took nearly two weeks. That disrupted our project timeline.
Thank you for your patience and for still rating the device kindly. We’re sorry for the long transit time. We’re evaluating better carrier options or alternative hubs to reduce delivery times to remote regions. We hope your network is stable now, and we’re here if you need any help tuning things.
Our office uplink is fiber, so having that SFP port was a game changer. We plugged it in, established our fiber uplink, and it’s been 100% stable. The GbE ports handle our LAN/WAN traffic without trouble.
Thank you for sharing that! The SFP port was intentionally added so fiber connected networks like yours would benefit. So glad it’s working reliably for you. If you want help monitoring fiber link stats (LOS, SNR, etc.), just ask.
The performance is excellent and the unit is rock solid in everyday use. My only nitpick: some of the advanced features (e.g. advanced firewall rules, custom SNMP) aren’t super well documented (or are a bit terse). But still, the device is outstanding.
Really appreciate that constructive feedback. We agree the docs could be more robust in advanced areas, and we’re pushing updates. We’re glad you love the device itself, and we’ll strive to make the docs match the hardware quality.
This isn’t your average home router — the RackMatrix S2 is engineered for folks who demand stability, performance, and expandability (hello, SFP!). In daily use, it’s steady, predictable, and strong.
Thank you for seeing the design intentions! We built it for serious users, so we’re glad that message comes through. If ever you want to explore more advanced features, we’re always here to help.
