Honestly, I went in cautiously because of the steep price. But the RackMatrix S2 blew me away. In long-term stress tests (24 h, full routing + IDS), it didn’t budge. Throughput sustained at 850‑900 Mbps even with logging and deep‑packet inspection. Stability has been flawless.

The RackMatrix S2 is powerfully capable — handling firewall, routing, and switching tasks easily. It’s compact and well built. But I had to wait nearly 3 weeks due to availability and shipping delays, which was stressful. Otherwise, I’m pleased.

Once I got it, the S2 works well: no packet loss, stable performance, great metal build. But the outer shipping box was slightly crushed, though the inner packing protected the unit. Please reinforce your shipping packaging.

The RackMatrix S2 is exactly what I needed — solid casing, clean wiring paths, good throughput. However, my national customs held it for 5 extra days. That was frustrating, but not the seller’s fault. Overall I’m very happy with the unit.

Performance and hardware are excellent, but I found myself fumbling a bit through setup because the user documentation is a bit sparse in places. A few missing config examples for advanced firewall rules and SFP link negotiation would help. Still, once running it’s stable and robust.
