I’ve had my RackMatrix S2 running for over a month now, and it’s been super dependable — no random reboots, the Intel E3845 handles my firewall + VPN + routing setup without breaking a sweat. I just wish the rack-mount kit came in the box; had to order the ears separately, which added a little wait time.

The S2 itself is rock solid: performance, build, ports—all great. But the packaging on delivery was a little too “light” for my liking; one corner of the unit had a slight dent. Functionally fine, though.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the shipping/tracking uncertainty. We’re improving our logistics communications to avoid that in future. Thank you for still recognising the unit’s performance once delivered.
We deployed one S2 in a remote location for VPN termination + routing. Installation was easy, power consumption is reasonable, and it has been up 24/7 without issues. Exactly what we needed.

The S2 is whisper-quiet in our server room, yet handles routing and firewall duties like a champ. The aluminum body helps with thermals, and the CPU is just the right balance of performance and efficiency.
