It’s quieter than expected, runs cool, and the build feels sturdy. I just wish the price were a bit lower, but I get the premium for quality.

From a performance standpoint, this RackMatrix S2 unit is fantastic — no complaints on hardware or throughput. But customs held the shipment for several days, which messed up my project schedule. If that delay hadn’t happened, it’d be a 5‑star all the way

I needed a small but powerful edge appliance, and RackMatrix S2 3 ports gbe 1 port sfp was exactly what I needed. The mix of ports gives me flexibility and the unit handles firewall + routing + QoS with minimal fuss. Very pleased with it — this will stay in my toolkit for a long time.

I’ve been running this appliance for a few weeks, and the hardware (Intel E3845, 4 cores at 1.91 GHz) is reliable under load. But I struggled a bit figuring out the firmware version compatibility and updates with OPNsense / pfSense. A more detailed firmware roadmap would help

The RackMatrix S2 with 3 ports GbE + 1 port SFP is a high‑quality unit. The build, hardware specs, and performance are solid. But I’m deducting a star because my shipment was delayed by a week due to carrier issues. Once it arrived, it worked perfectly.
