I love how stable and capable this device is. The Noah2 + Intel E3845 platform feels premium, and throughput holds strong even when multiple services run. My only complaint: I opened a support ticket with a minor firmware question and had to wait 48 hours for reply. So 4 stars — product excellent, support could be snappier.
Thank you for your kind words about the device’s performance. We apologize for the delay in our support response — we aim to respond faster and will work on improving our turnaround time. Please feel free to nudge us if you ever feel waiting too long; we value your time and satisfaction.
At my ISP branch office, this device is replacing a bulky firewall box. The RackMatrix S2 is quieter, cooler, and equally powerful. Handles BGP, IGMP, firewall rules, and user-level controls easily. The optional memory upgrade slot is a nice touch for future-proofing. Highly recommend.
We’re honored to hear it’s replacing your previous hardware at an ISP branch. Thanks for the specific use-case mention. If you expand or add modules, let us know — we’re ready to help scale with you.
This unit packs more than looks suggest: in my rack it occupies minimal space, stays cool, and performance tests show consistent throughput even when loads spike. The SFP + triple GbE combo gives me flexibility with fiber uplinks and copper aggregation. I love it.
Thank you! It’s wonderful to read this kind of feedback. We designed it for high performance with compactness in mind. If you ever want to push it further or script advanced features, we’re here to support your next steps.
The RackMatrix S2 itself is solid — stable routing, nice throughput, quiet operation. The downside: it took nearly three weeks longer than quoted to reach me, likely due to customs delays. I’d give 5 stars for the product, but the shipping experience pushes this to 3. Still, once I got it, it was all good.
We’re very sorry to hear about the extended delivery time; we know how frustrating that can be. While we do our best to coordinate with carriers and prepare proper documentation, delays beyond customs are often outside our direct control. We’re glad the unit met expectations once in your hands, and we appreciate your patience.
I purchased this for my home lab and so far the RackMatrix S2 ready-to-use with Noah2 Intel E3845 is stable and efficient for basic routing, VPNs, and firewall tasks. But it lacks some enterprise-level features (redundant PSU, hot swap, etc.) that bigger appliances have. Overall solid for small to medium use — just know its limits.
Thank you for your feedback and context. You’re correct — this product is designed more for small-to-mid deployments rather than full enterprise redundancy. We appreciate your understanding and hope it serves well in your lab. If there’s a feature you’d like in the future, we welcome suggestions.
