The RackMatrix S2 with Noah2 Intel E3845 is performing wonderfully — routing, VPN, VLANs all smooth. I particularly like having the SFP port for future fiber uplink. The only minor downside: the SFP cable module (module + fiber patch) wasn’t included — I had to order that separately. Would be nice if it was bundled
Great to hear the performance is hitting expectations! That’s a fair point about the SFP cable/module. We’ll consider bundling or offering a discounted kit. Meanwhile, happy to recommend the correct SFP type and vendor so you don’t waste time chasing it down.
The RackMatrix® S2 ready-to-use unit itself is solid — fans quiet, performance smooth, chassis feels premium. But my box arrived dented and one of the corners of the chassis was slightly bent. I had to carefully bend it back. Luckily it still works fine, but packaging for international shipping could be better.
Thanks for letting us know and for acknowledging the hardware strength. We deeply regret the box damage — we’ll work with our fulfillment team to reinforce packaging, especially for long-distance shipments. If the chassis ever gives you any trouble, we’ll replace the affected panel
I’m impressed with the RackMatrix S2 hardware specs and performance (tested it with firewall rules and it passed). But I was disappointed by a long delay in delivery — my unit arrived ~2 weeks late. It’s not your fault, but just be aware. Once I got it, it worked beautifully though

In my branch office we replaced a flaky home router with the RackMatrix S2 with Noah2 E3845. After deploying, uptime jumped to 99.99%, and I no longer need to reboot randomly. It handles traffic spikes, VoIP, and backup links like a champ. Very happy with this investment

This RackMatrix S2 router appliance is very capable: I saw stable NAT throughput, VPN tunnels, and routing without hiccups. However, I wish there were better default tool integration for SNMP alerts. But that’s a minor gripe — the core performance and build are great
